Choose a calm stopping place
A small mat can turn a pause into a familiar part of a day out. Find a level, permitted place away from the busiest part of the path and make sure there is room for everyone to pass.
Keep the setup simple
Unroll the mat, set water within reach and keep the lead arranged so it does not become a trip hazard. Bring familiar items rather than packing a second home. Always supervise your dog and adapt the setup to the location.
Pack out thoughtfully
Before moving on, shake away loose debris where appropriate and pack the mat separately from food or clean clothes. Back at home, follow its care instructions and let it dry fully before rolling it up again.
